Slow Cooker Lamb Shanks

Dinner tonight....one of my favourites for this time
of year.

Lamb Shanks done in the slow cooker with fresh onion, baby carrots,
bunches of herbs & a generous splash of 2006 Heathcote Reserve Shiraz
with plenty left over to have a glass tonight.

along with a delicious loaf of nutty wholemeal bread I cooked in the
bread maker this morning.

I put the Lamb Shanks on at about eleven, so by the time everyone arrives home from their
busy day around seven we will all be able to sit down to a nice hot meal, much welcomed on these cooler nights.

What 's for dinner at your house??

Caroline xoxo

PS-It's making the house smell wonderful!!

Oh, that looks so good. I've had a slow cooker but nothing worked out good exept for soup. After some time I was discouraged and gave the thing away.

Lamb shanks are my favourite too! There is just something about this time of year that screams 'hot pot'! Then by September I am ready to do salads all over again.

Yum I can smell and taste it right now. Hope it all went down well with the family.

Love slow cooker meals, and your bread looks nice too!

Haven't had lamb shanks in ages, maybe I might purchase some when I go to the street.

Hope all is well with you Caroline :)
